Next time if you don’t feel like waiting in a long queue in a fuel station to fill up your car, all you have to do this just open a website or an app, place an order and the fuel will be delivered home. A start-up based out of Bengaluru has made this possible.
ANB Fuels has begun home delivery of fuel through its website, mypetrolpump.com. Currently, this service is available only in certain areas of Bengaluru but the company plans to expand its service in other locations as well. The car owner can use the website, or call on 7880504050 to place an order. Smartphone applications for android and apple phones will be launched in a few weeks.
Currently, the company is only delivering diesel and the minimum order should be for 20 litres. The cost of the fuel is the same as that sold in fuel pumps. However, there are home delivery charges of Rs 99 for any order of up to 100 litres. Above this, the customer needs to pay Rs 1 per litre. The payment can be done through cash or through POS machine at the time of fuel delivery. The company is using an Isuzu D-Max for this operation and it has been modified to accommodate a large fuel tank. This service is approved by the government. In fact, the government has been planning this service for the past few months.
