Sometime ago we brought you the spy shots of the 2019 Dodge RAM 1500. Recently, our spies, who are working overtime, got a sneak-peek inside the upcoming dual cabin pickup truck.
The updated Dodge RAM 1500 is expected to be launched later next year and could be dubbed as the 2019 model. However, for the time being, the spy shots give a glimpse of the restyled dashboard and the aggressively styled steering wheel with the Dodge logo in the centre. The FCA is expected to upgrade the interiors with features such as the latest UConnect systems and other technologies previewed in the 2017 Pacifica minivan.
On the outside, the new RAM 1500 displays a longer wheel base which in turn will offer a roomier cabin and more cargo space as well. The new RAM 1500 is expected to be offered with the new split tailgate as an optional feature and also speculated to be equipped with air suspensions and ram boxes.
The 3.0L V6 EcoDiesel should stay put in the engine bay, but FCA’s on-going problem with the EPA over diesel emissions may cause a change in plan. The next Ram could also be offered with mild hybrid system with a 48-volt electrical system.
The new Ram will rival against the Ford F-150, GMC Sierra 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado.
