Leave it to the Americans to add more power to what is already a powerful version of a powerful car! Yes we are talking about the Dodge Demon. Derived from the mighty SRT Hellcat, it is in essence a really (really) powerful version of the Challenger sports car and will make its debut later this year.
Ahead of the debut, the chief designer for truck/commercial/performance interior for FCA, Ryan Nagode, has revealed a picture of the Demon’s cabin on his Instagram account. The dashboard looks to be leather lined while there are a plethora of buttons under the touchscreen system. But the bit that caught our attention was the information on the screen. It indicates that the Demon will have an output of 900bhp and around 700Nm torque making this one tyre lunching beast!
This gargantuan power and torque is produced by a massive 6.2-litre supercharged hemi V8 petrol engine. We are not sure about the gearbox but it is expected to be a seven-speed manual or an eight-speed AT. It will slot in above the Hellcat and be offered with all-wheel drive as standard.
