Renault India sells seven models in India - the Kwid, Duster, Lodgy, Scala, Pulse, Fluence and the premium SUV Koleos. Renault is one of the fastest growing automotive brands in India and from its list of offerings in India, the Kwid hatchback and the Duster compact SUV have been the popular choices in the Indian market.
Renault has been undoubtedly progressing positively in the Indian market, but then, not all of its models have been doing well in India. The Koleos SUV has been the worst affected with poor sales figures while the Kwid has been a major contributor to its sales figures. In order to boost sales of other models and celebrate its fifth anniversary in India, the company has announced special offers in July on four of its four models – the Duster, Pulse, Lodgy and the Scala.
The French automaker is offering an exchange bonus of Rs 25,000 or gift cheque of Rs 25,000 on the Duster. However, the gift cheque is not offered on RXZ-MT 85, 110 PS and AWD variants. Some of the dealers are also offering the 2015 unsold 110 PS Duster stock at discounts of up to Rs 70,000 – Rs 80,000. The Lodgy MPV is being offered with a gift cheque of Rs 20,000 or special corporate/PSU scheme which is approved by the company.
The Pulse hatchback is being offered with benefits of up to Rs 41,000 which includes insurance at Rs 1 + exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 + corporate /PSU bonus up to Rs 6,000. On selected stocks and variants of the Scala sedan, Renault offers insurance at just Rs 1. The offers mentioned above are for July 2016, while the higher discount on the older 110 PS Duster is offered by selective dealers and will be offered till stocks last. Thought officially there are no discount offers on the Koleos for now, we can expect to see heavy offers on the vehicle in the coming months as the company plans to introduce a new model sometime next year. Discounts on the Fluence sedan are likely to be announced around the festive season.
