Details on the BMW M760Li

If you are in the market for a crazy-fast luxury saloon, you will soon have a BMW alternative. Not long ago, images of the BMW M760Li surfaced prematurely on their online configurator. The BMW will go up against brutes like the Mercedes S65 AMG and the Audi S8.

This merge of ultimate performance and luxury was forged by Audi back in 1996, with the S8. But, ever since Mercedes entered the space they have dominated the segment. BMW always offered the 7 Series with powerful engines to be highway munchers, but never tied up with the M division to be complete performance cars. BMW will now enter the segment more than a decade after their rivals, with the M760Li.

The BMW M760Li will accommodate a bigger V12 engine than the current 760Li and could be similar to the one on the new Rolls-Royce Ghost. The power figure will be around 600bhp, and it will have more than 700Nm of torque. It will also get suspension tweaks to make the handling performance oriented. And the exterior will get some mild body tweaks and 19 or 20 inch wheels to give it a sportier stance.

BMW India recently teased the new 7 Series through the laser light tweet. The new generation 7 Series will be officially launched at the Auto Expo 2016. The M760Li will be launched later in the year after its International debut.
