Dilip Chhabria, India’s famous car designer took the wraps of a new vehicle at the stage of 2018 Auto Expo. The all-new vehicle is called the TCA, an abbreviation for ‘Titanium, Carbon and Aluminium’. It is basically a step up over
the Avanti with even more flamboyant styling and a bigger engine. The TCA has the same basic shape of the Avanti but has added flair with its gaping vents, overdone rear and some shiny bits. Its design is “hate it or love it” like all the other DC products. The mid-engine layout of the TCA packs a 3.8-litre motor producing 320bhp. The engine is a Euro 6 compliant boasts the designer-turned-carmaker. According to Chabbria, the design of the car has drawn its inspiration from hypercars such as Ferrari LaFerrari and Pagani Zonda. The TCA promises to feature exotic materials inside the cabin with contemporary audio-video electronics and instrumentation. The vehicle has been designed keeping in mind the Indian operational conditions.
The TCA will hit production in October this year and will be limited to only 299 units. Prices are of course expected to be way higher than the Avanti.
