Datsun has announced that it will launch the Go+ MPV on January 15. It is the second vehicle from Nissan’s budget brand to be launched in India and will be offered here in four variants and a single engine option.
Design wise, the Go+ looks like a stretched out version of the Go hatchback and shares much of the design including the facia. It is 3.99-meters long and has a wheelbase of 2.45-meters. This means that with the third row up, the Go+ has a boot of 48-litres while with the third row folded down it increases to 347-litres.
The Go+ will be offered in four variants D, D1, A, T. As with its hatchback sibling, the feature list is very basic and very similar. All variants get a digital tachometer and full drive computer as standard features while the top spec T variant gets power steering, front power windows and mobile docking station. AC is available only on the A and T variants. The Go+ like its hatchback siblings has absolutely no safety features.
The engine power the Go+ is the 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine that produces 68bhp and 104Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via five-speed manual gearbox. It has an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 20.62kmpl.
We expect that Datsun will price the Go+ in the range Rs 5.7 lakh to Rs 7.50 lakh and will be the cheapest 7 seater in the market once it is launched.
