Datsun is preparing to inaugurate new dealerships in India in the next six months. The carmaker recently launched the GO in India and is currently selling the car through Nissan dealerships.
The GO hatchback has crossed the 5,000 units sales mark and seeing such an overwhelming response for the vehicle, the carmaker is planning to come up with exclusive showrooms for Datsun cars. The company has received many proposals for establishing new dealerships and they will draw a conclusion by the end of this month. Datsun intends to commence the operations of the new facilities within six months.
Kenichiro Yomura, President, Nissan Motor India, said, “The transition has been smooth, and we are in the process of strengthening our sales, marketing and service teams. Almost all dealers have come under our fold. We have also received a lot of proposals from our existing dealers to open exclusive outlets for Datsun brand. We will take a decision on those proposals by the end of this month."
Datsun has been focused on building a brand image for the company in India and has been working on those lines. The Datsun GO has been selling like hot cakes for the company ever since it has been launched in our country. The day isn’t far when we will be able to see the low-budget car and the upcoming Datsun cars sold through exclusive Datsun facilities. We hope to see the Datsun GO+ MPV on sale through the first exclusive dealerships that come up by the end of this year.
