-ABS with EBD standard on all variants
-No mechanical changes
The Datsun Redigo has received a set of safety updates possibly for 2019 model year. There appeare to be no changes in prices, feature list or mechanicals. These changes are along the lines of new safety norms that will be implemented in a phased manner during the course of 2019.
All variants across both engine options get ABS with EBD as standard. Three point seat belts, two point middle rear safety belt and rear door child safety locks are already offered across the range. However, the driver’s side airbag is only offered with the top spec S variant.
The feature list and mechanical setup remains unchanged and you can avail of the Redigo with a 54bhp 800cc engine or a 68bhp 1.0-litre engine. A five-speed manual is standard but the latter also gets a five-speed AMT with certain variants. The Redigo is Datsun’s rival to the likes of the Renault Kwid, Hyundai Eon and the Maruti Suzuki Alto family of cars.
