The CVT version of the Datsun Go and the Go+ will be unveiled this month and is expected to be launched in October 2019. Visually, the CVT version is expected to get a distinctive badge and some other minor cosmetic tweaks, while mechanically, the Go twins will get a CVT update for the existing engine.Â
The Datsun Go and the Go+ siblings are powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine that is capable of producing 67bhp at 5,000 rpm and 104Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Currently, the petrol engine in both the cars get a five-speed manual transmission as standard and it is believed that the CVT option is likely to regenerate interest due to the rise in demand for automatic vehicles in the country.Â
More details about the Datsun Go and the Go+ with CVT option will be known post its official unveiling later this month.
