Post much wait, Datsun has finally launched the CVT (continuously variable transmission) variants of the GO and the GO+ in India. Both cars can be had with an automatic option in T and T (O) trims. Interestingly, both the cars are the first ones to offer a CVT option in their respective segments. Read below to learn why you should buy the newly launched CVT variants of the GO and the GO+.
What’s good about it?
One of the biggest reasons to buy either of these cars is the CVT option, which is a blessing for driving within the city. The CVT offers smoother drive quality as compared to cars with an AMT. Offered as a top-spec version, both the cars get a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with voice recognition and Android Auto/Apple CarPlay. Moreover, the cars offer first in segment feature like Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and the best-in-class ground clearance of 185mm.
What’s not so good?
The dual-tone seat covers are not part of the standard accessory list. Features like rear wiper and washer, LED DRLs and R14 diamond cut alloy wheels are standard only on T (O) variant. The engine feels a bit underpowered during highway runs.
Which variant to buy?
The top-spec T (O) CVT is a good option as you get a feature-loaded version of both the cars at just an additional premium of a little over Rs 20,000 as compared to the regular ‘T’ CVT variant.
