The Cross variant of the Datsun Go has been in the news for quite some time and now Datsun has officially teased the production version of the car. Called the ‘Cross’, the car will make its global debut in Indonesia first on January 18th and is expected to spawn a new segment.
The teaser just shows the front of the car which shows the same grille with a chrome outline. Major changes include the new headlights which now shape themselves around Skoda Yeti-like fog lights. One can also see the black bumper cladding along with a bash plate. Headlights look like they will get projectors along with DRL’s as well.
Expect the car to be powered by the same 1.2 litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine putting out 67bhp and 104Nm of torque along with a 5-speed manual transmission. The car will be the cross version of the bigger Go Plus and will be a 7-seater. Expect the car to reach Indian shores by mid-2018.
