Crash-compliant Maruti Suzuki Eeco launched; prices start at Rs 3.61 lakhs

- Eeco now complies with BNSVAP norms

- The updated model is priced between Rs 3.61 lakhs and Rs 6.61 lakhs

Maruti Suzuki has launched the BNSVAP compliant Eeco range, with prices starting from Rs 3.61 lakhs to Rs 6.61 lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi). The new crash safety norms came into effect beginning 1 October.

The Maruti Suzuki Eeco was previously updated in April this year when the model received the safety features in the form of a driver-side airbag, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors. The next update for the model is expected to arrive in the form of a BS-VI compliant engine.

Currently, the Maruti Eeco is powered by a BS-IV emission compliant 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 73bhp and 101Nm of torque. Transmission duties are taken care of by a five-speed manual gearbox.
