The eagerly awaited diesel version of the Toyota Corolla Altis will hit the roads on the 23rd or 24th of July this year. We had reported in March that the Altis Diesel version would be launched soon and well here it is.
We had mentioned that the engine had to be in the 85 - 100bhp range for it to survive the competition. The Altis Diesel boasts of a 90 bhp engine and is said to have achieved a fuel efficiency of about 21 km/l. The diesel version would certainly be expensive than the petrol one. But at the end of it, the car does seem to offer more and we certainly hope that it is worth the wait.
