- C3 AT launched officially
- Hatchback updated with new features
Citroen has officially begun bookings of the automatic version of the C3 hatchback. The price of the automatic version has not been announced yet but the price of the updated car starts at Rs. 6.16 lakh.
The new six-speed automatic gearbox comes mated to the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine. This unit produces 109bhp and 190Nm of torque. The Citroen C3 is also available with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 81bhp and 115Nm of torque. This engine, however, comes mated to only a five-speed manual gearbox.
Moreover, the carmaker has updated the car with many new features focusing on safety and convenience. The former set of equipment includes six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and three-point seat belts. Meanwhile, the additional upgrades that add to the convenience include features such as power window switches on the doors, grab handle on the front passenger side, auto-folding ORVMs, LED projector headlamps, and automatic air conditioning.
Prospective buyers can book any variant of the Citroen C3 through the official website and authorised dealerships pan-India. The newly launched C3 AT caters to a wide set of buyers looking for an automatic car. However, we believe it will primarily attract the buyers of the Tata Punch and Hyundai Exter, which get automated manual transmissions (AMT) instead of a proper automatic like the C3.
