- Updated C3 Aircross to arrive in June
- Basalt will be launched in H2 of 2024
Yesterday, Citroen revealed the Basalt Coupe SUV as the fourth vehicle in its India line-up. The car will arrive in the H2 of this year and take on the likes of the Tata Curvv. Now, we already know that when the Basalt is launched, it will sport new interiors with a new feature list that will also make its way to the C3 Aircross. However, the pictures have also revealed one more detail (albeit a minor one) — the face of the Basalt, and we think this will be the revised face for the C3 Aircross.
On the face of it (pun intended), the Basalt and the C3 Aircross look almost identical. Their bumpers have the same elements in the same place and even the signature Citroen grille has the same design. What’s changed is the presence of projector headlamps and chrome elements in the face, both of which we expect will come to the upgraded Aircross.
In June 2024, the C3 Aircross will get a major cabin upgrade, and this will be the layout that we will see in the Basalt when it is launched. They are also expected to share the 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 109bhp/205Nm and can be had with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed AT.
