Once known as Citroen C3 Aircross, the carmaker has dropped the C3 tag and renamed the car to Aircross. It now gets a new Explorer edition which packs in a bunch of accessories for a limited period. Here are its top five highlights.
1. Special packs
The new Aircross Explorer Edition is offered only with Plus and Max variants and in two packages — Standard and Optional. There is a difference in pricing with the Standard Pack costing Rs. 24,000 and optional pack costing Rs. 51,700.
2. Exterior decals
On the outside, the Citroen Aircross Explorer Edition in both Standard Pack and Optional Pack offers new body decals and Khaki colour inserts.
3. Hood inserts
For a rugged look and more outdoorsy appeal, the SUV gets a hood (bonnet) garnish as an accessory.
4. Interior add-ons
Apart from the exterior accessories, the Optional Pack adds a rear-seat entertainment system with a dual port adapter. Then, both the packages get illuminated door sill plates and footwell lighting to up the premium feel inside.
5. Dashcam
The special edition also gets a dashcam which is a practical accessory to have these days. It instils a sense of security and peace of mind for car owners.
Powertrain
Besides these features, the Citroen Aircross Explorer Edition carries forward the existing engine options. Two powertrain options include a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated Petrol Puretech 90 and a 1.2-litre Turbo Petrol Puretech 110 mill. Both engines are three-cylinder units and gearbox options include a five-speed manual, six-speed manual, and a six-speed torque-converter, depending on the variant one chooses.
