Chrysler recently unveiled the 300S with new upgrades for 2014. This car will debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The upgraded car looks more impressive than the previous version with changes made to both the exteriors and interiors.
The 2014 Chrysler 300S gets a black chrome grille now, as opposed to the silver chrome on the predecessor. The other feature upgrades include tinted headlamps and gloss black windows. The new model boasts of 20-inch alloy wheels painted in dark grey colour. However, these are for the rear-wheel-drive variants only and the all-wheel-drive variants will have 19-inch alloy wheels as standard. There is an optional gloss black roof as well.
On the inside, the first visible change is the black or Ambassador Blue leather sport seats. These seats are stitched in silver and black shade threads with a large ‘S’ at the centre of the seat. The black colour theme is seen all around on the steering wheel, centre console, instrument and door panels. The other features include ‘matte carbon hydrographic’ accents, die-cast paddle shifters on the steering wheel, a Uconnect infotainment system and a Beats music system by Dr. Dre connected to 10 speakers and a 12-channel amplifier.
The Chrysler 300S will be available in the same two engine variants, one a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 engine producing 300bhp of power and the other a 5.7-litre HEMI V8 engine churning out 370bhp of power. However, the new models will get a sport-tuned suspension and better braking system. All the models will come with the ZF automatic eight-speed transmission.
Will the 2014 variants of the 300S with revised styling and upgraded interiors appeal to the masses? We will wait for the answer till the car is launched and goes on sale next spring. Prices of the car are not available and will be announced soon.
