General Motors recently brought two units of the Trailblazer to India for testing and the test mules have been spotted a few times now. The SUV was sighted doing rounds again and this time in Mumbai. Thanks to our ardent reader, Ameya Jadhav, we have another set of spyshots of the Trailblazer.
The Trailblazer is a mid-size sport utility vehicle produced by the Chevrolet division of American automaker General Motors. It is based on the Colorado pick-up truck and the cabin has ample space to accommodate seven passengers comfortably. The Trailblazer's interior comes equipped with premium upholstery and gets several new features that up the luxury quotient. One such feature is Chevrolet's latest-generation MyLink infotainment system that provides smartphone connectivity, streams audio, video, make hands-free calls and users can also access personal playlists.
The full-fledged SUV is powered by a 2.8-litre diesel mill that is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. Another variant might be made available at the time of the launch that will be equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox.
General Motors started testing the Trailblazer in India within a few days after they disclosed that they will launch the huge SUV for the Indian market. We can expect the car to be launched by the end of this year. It will then lock horns with the Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero and the upcoming new-gen Ford Endeavour.
