Chevrolet has left no stone unturned to make its stint at the Auto Expo a success. Along with the international supercars and concept cars, Chevrolet has also built limited editions of its current models for the choosy Indian customer. The list includes the new Beat, the Cruze and the Sail sedan.
Chevrolet unveiled the Beat facelift and its limited edition in the Manchester United livery. We were surprised to know the number of Manchester United football club fans in the country that would have counted in Chevrolet’s decision to build a ManU edition car. Under the skin, technically, the car remains same. The upholstery as well as the interiors are also done up in black and red with Manchester United emblems on the seats.
The Sail sedan was seen in a special sparkling black colour coupled up with dashes of gold on the front grille, door-handles and other accents. The golden rims reminded us of rally racing legends, Subaru. The Sail sedan also gets special upholstery along with all features and accessories of the top-end variant.
The Cruze looked like a car from the movie Transformers dressed in white, a carbon fibre finish hood, customised head-lamps with day-time running LED strips, projector head-lamps with bi-xenon bulbs and the LED tail-lamps. All those who wanted customised cars in India, but held back due to possible warranty issues, can look forward to owning one of these. If this trend picks up in India where the manufacturer offers the customising option to the buyer, and not rip them off, we can look forward to seeing some exciting looking cars in future.
