While we eagerly wait for the launch date of the Chevrolet Trailblazer for the Indian market, the company continues testing the full-fledged SUV. A test mule was caught on the run on the Manesar-Gurgaon highway. Our reader Ankit Dehar sent us these pictures.
The camouflaged vehicle is one of the two units of the SUV that were imported to our country for research and development. Based on the Colorado pick-up truck, the Trailblazer is a huge vehicle known for its road presence and has ample space to accommodate seven passengers comfortably. The cabin of the vehicle comes equipped with Chevrolet's latest-generation MyLink infotainment system, which provides smartphone connectivity, streams audio and video, users can access personal playlists and also make hands-free calls.
Under the hood of the SUV can be seen the 2.8-litre diesel engine that comes mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox. Reports suggest that there might be another variant at the time of the launch that will get a five-speed manual transmission.
The Chevrolet Trailblazer is still being tested in India and we expect the testing to be over in a couple of months. General Motors will then launch the SUV for the Indian market making it lock horns with the Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero and the upcoming new-gen Ford Endeavour.
