Chevrolet has launched the full-sized seven seater SUV, the Trailblazer, in India for Rs 26.40 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Trailblazer is available in India in a single variant with an automatic gearbox and rear wheel drive.
The Chevrolet Trailblazer is the largest SUV among in the segment, with length and width of 4,878mm and 1,838mm respectively. The SUV has relatively simple styling, but enormous street presence. It is powered by a 2.8-litre turbocharged diesel engine good to deliver 200bhp and 500Nm of torque. The power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.
Chevy is offering all the necessary features in the single variant. The SUV gets cruise control, automatic AC, touch screen music system, rear parking camera with sensors, independent AC vents for all three rows and six-way adjustable power seat for the driver. The safety features include ABS-EBD, dual front airbags, ESP and hill start and descend control.
The Trailblazer competes mainly with the Toyota Fortuner and the Mitsubishi Pajero in the premium seven-seater SUV segment. It is imported to India as a CBU from Thailand and will be available exclusively through Amazon for the first five days.
