A test mule of the Chevrolet Trailblazer was spotted in Indore. General Motors will soon launch the SUV for the Indian market by the end of this year.
The Trailblazer is a full-fledged SUV based on the Colorado pick-up truck. It is a huge vehicle known for its road presence and has ample space to accommodate seven passengers comfortably. The cabin of the vehicle comes equipped with Chevrolet's latest-generation MyLink infotainment system, which provides smartphone connectivity, streaming audio and video and users can access personal playlists and make hands-free calls.
The Trailblazer SUV is powered by a 2.8-litre diesel engine that comes mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox. There might be another variant at the time of the launch that will get a five-speed manual transmission.
The manufacturer had imported two units of the SUV to our country for research and development. Once the testing is complete, the carmaker will launch the vehicle in India. When it goes on sale in our country, the Trailblazer will go up against the Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero and the upcoming new-gen Ford Endeavour.
