Chevrolet India plans to update majority of the cars in its range, in the next two years. In this span, Chevy will introduce two new models and updates for three others in the existing range.
The Trailblazer SUV and the Beat hatchback will be updated soon. The facelift of the seven-seater model has already been introduced in Thailand and the same will be made available in India. The Beat facelift is expected to debut at the start of next year with few cosmetic upgrades, also, the hatchback will form base for the Beat Activ crossover. The soft-roader was showcased in concept form during the 2016 Auto Expo and should reach production by middle of next year.
The Essentia will be the first all-new product to be introduced by Chevy in the coming months. The sub-four metre sedan based on the Beat will sit below the Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Xcent and others in competition with the upcoming Tata Kite 5 sedan. This, will then be followed by the launch of the next-generation Cruze in the D-Segment, which is already available in the US and European markets.
