Concept cars promise to draw a lot of attention at any motor show. Chevrolet, who is well aware of this fact, has come up with four new concept cars at the 2014 Sao Paulo Motor Show. The American auto giant, in fact, has revealed a pick-up truck, two sporty new hatchbacks and a slightly updated version of its existing vehicle – the Cobalt.
The S10 High Country is a pick-up concept which is finished in Red Chili exterior, additional chrome trim, 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin design is based on the 2015 Trailblazer. The Onix Track Day, on the other hand, is based on models prepared to run on race tracks. Based on the standard Onix hatchback, the concept includes upgraded mechanical components including modified suspension, engine, brakes and the exhaust system.
The concept is powered by a 1.8 petrol engine tuned to produce around 150bhp of power. Other highlights include 215-section 17-inch tyres with softer compounds, rear spoiler, shell type seats, flat-bottom steering wheel and lots more.
The third model is the Onix Effect which differentiates itself mainly with the dark 15-inch wheels, the aero package and the smoked headlights and taillights. Inside, it gets a multi-function, flat-bottom steering wheel, red satin trim finishes and embroidered carpets. The powertrain is the same as the standard Onix LTZ 1.4 manual, which develops 106bhp of power.
Lastly, Chevrolet has unveiled a slightly updated version of the Cobalt sedan. The concept gets 16-inch wheels with a new finish, revised radiator grille with dark chrome and glossy black detail, as well as the base of the side windows. Inside, the concept gets Jet Black trim for the dashboard, doors and the carpets.
