Chevrolet Sail U-VA gets a price cut, now starts at Rs 4.19 lakh

According to an advertisement in the newspaper, Chevrolet has slashed the price of the Sail U-VA hatchback by Rs 25,000. The Maruti Swift competitor is now available for a start price of Rs 4.19 lakh; less than the launch price of Rs 4.44 lakh.

The featured advertise from yesterday’s Times of India clearly states that the Sail is priced at Rs 4.19 lakh. Another interesting bit was that the Sail U-VA was mentioned as the ‘Sail hatchback’. We are waiting for a response from GM to find out if they have dropped the U-VA badging.

The Sail hatchback is available with choice of the 1.2-litre petrol engine or the 1.3-litre oilburner. The diesel engine is jointly developed by Fiat; and GM and at 78bhp and 205Nm torque, it is slightly better tuned than the version available in the Suzuki Swift.
