Chevrolet has launched a limited edition of the Sail sedan in an attempt to boost their sales before the end of this fiscal. The car has ‘Limited Edition’ badging on the bootlid and will be available with both 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engine options, priced Rs 5.36 lakh onwards.
This Limited Edition, along with the badge, gets decals on the sides extending across the length of the car. The outside rear-view mirrors get integrated turn indicators. The boot-lid gets a chrome garnish to give it a premium feel. Reverse parking sensors have also been added as a part of the Limited Edition features list. Under the skin, the car is the same as the regular Sail sedan.
As one steps in the car, one will notice the illuminated sill plates carrying the ‘Sail’ badge. The upholstery is beige with brownish accents to give it a dual-tone feel. Customers get a pair of cushion pillows with the car as a part of this special package.
In a bid to attract more customers for the compact sedan, Chevrolet has introduced this special version of the Sail. The company claims to give the prospective buyers a total benefit of about Rs 45,000 including all these accessories. This strategy of the manufacturer is expected to lure in more buyers for the Chevrolet Sail, which has not been doing well in terms of sales.
