Chevrolet might launch their facelifted Beat at the Auto Expo 2014 in New Delhi. The popular hatchback gets minimal changes to the front and retains most of its original characteristics.
The Beat based on GM’s 300 platform is a global car and is sold in more than 100 countries worldwide; currently it is the best-seller in the American carmaker’s range of products in India. In India, the Beat was launched with a 1.2-litre petrol engine and is also available with a three-pot 1.0-litre Multijet diesel mill jointly developed by GM and Fiat.
The Beat is a futuristic looking handsome car and it’s a designer’s nightmare to make a good looking car better. GM’s designers have rightly kept the winning formula going with minor tweaks. Among the changes the refreshed Beat may get are all-new front and rear bumpers, all-new alloy wheels, a prominent rear spoiler and miniscule changes to the headlamps and tail lights. It might also get integrated indicators on ORVMs.
The changes in the interiors are minimal and it might get a new fascia for its digital indicator which houses the fuel indicator and a rev-counter. The top-end variants might get a touch screen audio system and colour inserts on the inner door linings and the dashboard. The car will be getting the same engines and automatic transmission may not be offered in India, although it is available in some international markets.
If you are looking to buy a Chevrolet Beat then the Auto Expo 2014 seems to be your chance. Wait for more updates on the facelifted Beat here.
