Chevrolet India has launched the new Tavera and rechristened it as the Tavera Neo 3. The Neo's front end is redesigned with a new set of head lamps and two-tier grille with the Chevy logo taking centre stage. The new version now has a dual tone exterior paint scheme. To brighten up things, it gets chrome bits all around . The interiors too have been upgraded in tune with the exteriors. The suspension is retweaked for better ride. The reason for this upgrade is due to the fact that the old Tavera didn't meet the stringent emission norms and hence had to be discontinued. The new Tavera comes with a 2.0-litre common rail diesel engine that produces 107bhp of power and 264Nm of torque. The Tavera also gets an all new 5-speed manual gear box. It is this engine complies to the current emission norms. This allows Chevrolet to sell it across the country. The Tavera is also being offered with a 2.5-litre direct injection diesel with 80bhp and 186Nm being its specifications.
