Chevrolet launches new limited edition of Sail U-VA hatchback

Chevrolet has added a bit of exclusivity to its B-segment hatchback offering - the Sail U-VA. The carmaker has rolled out the new Limited Edition Sail U-VA which joins the recently introduced Limited Edition Sail sedan at Rs 5.36 lakh. 

Priced at Rs 4.47 lakh, the Limited Edition Sail U-VA comes with a few cosmetic upgrades in the form of the new decals, Limited Edition badging, seat covers, illuminated door sills and roof rails. Additionally, this new version also gets chrome garnish on the boot-lid and rear view mirrors with turn indicators.

Under the hood, the Limited Edition model is the same as the standard Sail U-VA, which means the car comes powered by the same engine and gearbox options. The petrol model gets a 1.2-litre engine developing 85bhp and 113Nm of torque, while the diesel model is powered by a 1.3-litre unit putting out 78bhp and 205Nm of torque. Both the engines come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. 

Chevrolet says the Limited Edition model comes with free accessories worth Rs 14,300. Now, the sole reason behind launching this new version is to improve sales of the Sail U-VA which is not really performing well in the hatchback segment due to the presence of superior rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Swift and the Fiat Punto.
