Chevrolet issues a recall for the Cruze in India

Chevrolet has issued a recall in India for some of its Cruze vehicles. The company did not mention how many cars were affected by the recall, but identified the cars to have been  produced between 2009 and 2011.

Chevrolet has made the voluntary recall after the affected cars experienced loss of ignition or stalled at low speeds. The car maker has added that the inspection and recommended repairs or replacement could take no more than one hour. Affected Chevrolet Cruze customers will be contacted to get their cars to the nearest Chevrolet service centre for inspection with a prior appointment. 

Chevrolet has directed its dealers to make the entire inspection and repair process as smooth as possible, and also offer a vehicle pick up and drop to a residential address. Customers can also proactively contact their nearest Chevrolet dealership and schedule an appointment for vehicle inspection and correction. All the affected vehicles will be repaired free of charge at all GMI service centres across India.
