The Beat LPG will be launched soon and it will be the recipient of General Motors' new locally designed and developed Smartech engine. The LPG Beat comes with Advanced Multipoint Sequential LPG Injection Technology type kit as compared to the Venturi-type kit currently in use. This new version is aimed to overlap the limitations of the Venturi kit like no power loss, no jerks and backfires which means smoother hassle-free transition from petrol to LPG and back and loss of cabin space because of the LPG kit.
The Beat will come with a Fuel tank capacity of 35 litres for Petrol and 32.8 L (total), 26.2 L (filling) for LPG. On one tank of LPG, the Beat can run 349 kms but when paired with a tank full of petrol, it can stretch till 1000 kms. Though the price of this car has not yet been revealed, we assume that it will be priced between 4-5 lakhs. All-in-all, this green initiative by the company will surely bear fruit and with hardly any competitors in the segment, it will be a tough car to BEAT!!
