The Chevrolet Beat facelift has been caught testing in Pune. The refreshed car is expected to be launched at the Auto Expo scheduled for next month.
The two prototypes of the hatchback have been mildly camouflaged in a bid to hide the modifications done. The pictures posted on Overdrive however, show the car to have undergone mild cosmetic changes. The grille and the front bumper have been revised with similar changes expected at the back of the vehicle. The new spoiler is integrated into the rear of the vehicle.
The pictures show both the vehicles to be left-hand-drives, indicating that these are export models. Nevertheless, all these modifications might be carried over to the Indian versions of the car. Changes to the interiors might include a new centre console with more storage space.
The facelifted Chevrolet Beat is expected to continue with the 1.2-litre petrol and 1.0-litre diesel engines mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The 1.2-litre petrol variant produces 79bhp of power, while the 936cc diesel mill churns out 58bhp of power. The LPG variant will also be continued.
This might be the last revision the current generation Beat might receive as General Motors has already started testing the next generation model in Europe. The company might not just unveil the facelifted beat at the Delhi Auto Expo but also launch it. Stay tuned to CarWale as we keep you updated about the details of the upcoming car.
