Castrol India Limited announced the launch of its new engine oil - Castrol GTX Modern Engine – especially created for today’s new generation, petrol cars. Castrol claims its new GTX Modern Engine oil contains ‘sludge busters’ that offers 25% better engine protection from sludge, resulting in improved fuel efficiency and longer engine life for modern cars.
Castrol GTX Modern Engine has evolved from the Castrol GTX range of engine oils.Commenting on the launch of Castrol GTX Modern Engine, Giriraj Bagri, VP Marketing, India & South Asia said, “We have been bringing in new and innovative world class products and technology for Indian motorists since over a hundred years. Conventional engine oils are unable to protect these engines which are more compact, more powerful and run hotter. In addition, the worsening, stop go traffic conditions put these engines under greater stress. Castrol GTX Modern Engine oil is designed to deliver superior sludge and deposit protection and improved fuel efficiency”.
The launch of Castrol GTX Modern Engine is supported by a TV campaign starring Castrol brand ambassador Sachin Tendulkar as well as a radio and digital campaign. Below the line support will be through a mechanic promotion program called Castrol ‘Smiles.’ Castrol GTX Modern Engine is a SAE 5W-30, API SM engine oil and is available in 3l, 3.5l and 500ml packs and is available at passenger car oil and spare part shops as well as at all Castrol Pitstops.
