Ford says that the EcoSport is an apt alternative for buyers looking at the premium hatchbacks and mid-size sedans. Looking purely at the pricing one won’t be able to rebut their claim, but cars from different segment offer varied features at the same price point. So here is the CarWale comparison of the Ford EcoSport against the feature loaded Hyundai i20 and the highest selling entry-level sedan, the Maruti Swift Dzire.
We pit the top-end Hyundai i20 Asta and the Maruti Swift Dzire ZDI against the EcoSport Tredline trim and here are few interesting facts. The first one does not necessarily need any proof – the EcoSport is bigger than its two rivals. The Hyundai i20 on the other hand has the best power rating among the three at 89bhp and 220Nm, while the Dzire has the best driving dynamics inherent with the Swift platform.
Hyundai also has maximum safety features with two airbags, ABS-EBD and rear parking camera, the Dzire also offers two airbag, along with ABS-EBD and Brake Assist. The EcoSport Trendline is not the top-spec trim, so few features like airbags and EBD are absent, but it still offers ABS.
There are few more findings and also more opportunities to compare the EcoSport with others in the same price bracket like the Volkswagen Polo and Honda Amaze. But there are more than few combinations and we think you should pick the cars, so here is our basic link comparing the EcoSport with the mentioned cars and you are free to select models and variants of your choice.
