Carlos Slim, the Mexican business tycoon, has denied having any talks with the Honda F1 team. The TelMex owner said he didn’t have any interest in buying the Brackley based team.
It was rumoured that Carlos had bought the Brackley based outfit team and retained the British driver Jenson Button and replaced the ex-Ferrari driver Rubens Barrichello with another Brazilian driver, Bruno Senna, the nephew of the legendary Ayrton Senna.
Italian newspaper La Stampa also reported that Slim didn’t agree to purchase the team. Slim’s son Carlos Slim Domit announced the news to be a lie to the Mexican press. Ross Brawn, the principal of Honda F1 Racing who joined Honda last year also denied such a possibility. David Richards now seems to be the most likely person to buy the Honda F1 team.
