A partially camouflaged Chevrolet Beat has been spotted doing the rounds outside Bengaluru. The car has its front and rear covered up indicating that the automaker may be planning a facelift for its B-segment hatchback later this year. The Beat was last given a global facelift in 2014 but with different designs for different markets.
If we look at Chevrolet’s numbers, we can see that after the Tavera, the Beat is the other vehicle that gives the American automaker some form of volumes. This move to refresh the car so quickly indicates its importance to the automaker for the Indian market.
By the look of things, this car will get a new face and rear end. However, we can also expect updated interiors and a feature list similar to what we saw in the Essentia compact sedan concept. Inversely, whatever updates this car gets externally; we can expect to see the same on the Essentia.
Expect this facelift to be launched later this year ahead of the Essentia’s official debut which is slated to take place during the festive season.
