American auto giant Cadillac is looking to rekindle its European presence by making a return to the UK market this year. The brand has confirmed that it will be making investments of up to $12 billion in vehicle development over the next five years.
According to a few reports, Cadillac will be concentrating more on right-hand drive cars and diesel-powered models, thereby putting more emphasis on efficient motoring than ever. The company is due for reintroduction in the UK within this year, although it will make do with just one London-based dealer initially. The model line-up, meanwhile, will include the ATS and the SRX.
While the ATS is America’s answer to the compact premium sedan segment including the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes C-Class and the Audi A4, the SRX competes in the mid-size premium crossover range which consists of the BMW X3 and the Audi Q5.
