BYD has unveiled the SeaLion 7 at the Bharat Mobility Expo and commenced bookings for this electric SUV at Rs. 70,000. The customer deliveries are scheduled to start on 7 March, 2025.
The BYD SeLlion 7 features sweptback LED headlamps with LED DRLs, flared wheel arches with a black cladding, wraparound LED taillamps, and a roof spoiler. Inside, the EV is packed with a lot of equipment including a flat-bottom steering wheel, 10.25-inch instrument cluster, and a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen. The Sealion 7 also gets a head-up display, two-zone automatic climate control, electrically adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation, ADAS, 12-speaker audio system, and a panoramic sunroof. It boasts 11 airbags along with many other driver assist systems.
Powertrain
The BYD SeaLion 7 comes in premium and performance configurations with the choice of one battery pack. The former RWD 82.56kWh battery variant has a power output of 308bhp and 380Nm of torque. It can cover 567km on a single charge. On the other hand, the latter with the same battery is available with the AWD that has a power output of 523bhp and 690Nm of torque. Its claimed driving range is 542km.
