BYD India has launched the all-electric MPV, the eMax 7, in the country at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs. 26.90 lakh. It is available in two battery pack options across two variants. Replacing the e6 in the brand’s portfolio, the new eMax 7 gets plenty of exterior and interior revision with more features.
The BYD eMax 7 is being offered in the Superior and Premium guise with 71.8Wh and 55.4kWh battery pack units, respectively. While the former battery pack is claimed to deliver a driving range of 530km, the latter is rated to juice up the eMax 7 for up to 420km on a single charge. Moreover, the Superior version can sprint from zero to 100kmph in just 8.6 seconds. Meanwhile, the Premium variant can achieve the same speed in 10.1 seconds.
As for the features, the new eMax 7 in the top-spec version comes loaded with a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charger, air purifier, digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, automatic climate control, six airbags, and a Level 2 ADAS suite.
