- Is the successor to the e6 MPV
- Will get a larger battery pack
BYD has officially confirmed the arrival of the e6 facelift for the Indian market. The model, which was previously listed on the brand’s local website, has now been teased by the automaker while also revealing a new identity.
The e6 facelift, which is known as the M6 in global markets, has been christened as the eMax 7. According to the company, the 'e' in the name represents the electric drive while the 'Max' underscores the model's enhanced performance, range, and features over the BYD e6. Additionally, the '7' in the vehicle symbolises a generation succession over the outgoing e6.
The e6 is currently available with a 71.7kWh battery pack which is expected to be replaced with the marginally larger 71.8kWh unit. The range has witnessed an increase of 30km, taking the total to 530km on a single full charge. The power output too has shot up from 94bhp to 204bhp and 180Nm to 310Nm for the torque. We have detailed the changes to the design and interior, details of which are live on our site.
