Bugatti unveiled its much-anticipated Veyron replacement, the Chiron for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Since then, the brand has been busy showcasing it in Europe, North America and Singapore. Now, Bugatti has announced that they have presented the Chiron in Japan.
Bugatti unveiled the Chiron to VIP guests at private appointments. The brand has revealed that the hyper car is on display at Bugatti Tokyo until November 16. Japan is Bugatti’s strongest market in Asia, with over 10 Veyrons (out of the total production of 450 units) sold in the country
With the Chiron, Bugatti has already exceeded total sales of the Veyron in Japan in the advance sales phase. About six per cent of orders received for the Chiron have been placed by customers from Japan.
The Chiron is among the fastest production cars ever. It’s powered by an upgraded version of the quad-turbo W16 8-litre engine that powered the Veyron. For this new creation, the engine has been tuned to produce a massive 1479bhp and 1600Nm of torque with power going to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox and an all-wheel drive system.
