- BS-VI compliant Mahindra TUV300 could be launched by March 2020
- The power output of the model is likely to remain unchanged
The BS-VI emission compliant Mahindra TUV300 has been spotted testing on the streets of Chennai. The TUV300 is one among the various models such as the XUV300, XUV500 and the Scorpio that would be receiving the updated engines soon.
Currently, the Mahindra TUV300 is powered by a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder mHawk100 diesel engine that produces 100bhp at 3,750rpm and 240Nm of torque at 1,600rpm. This engine is paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The AMT variant was recently discontinued and could make a comeback with the updated engine.
The upcoming BS-VI Mahindra TUV300 is also expected to get additional safety features in the form of rear parking sensors and a high-speed alert system. The model is currently equipped with dual airbags, ABS with EBD and seat belt reminder.
Feature highlights of the current generation Mahindra TUV300 include a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, follow-me-home headlamps, steering mounted controls, tilt-adjustable steering and height-adjustable driver seat. The BS-VI compliant Mahindra TUV300 is expected to be launched in India by March 2020.
