Ahead of its launch in the country, the Renault dealers in country have started accepting bookings for the much awaited Kwid 1.0-litre in the country. Interested customers can book one by paying a token amount of Rs 10,000. Deliveries for the Kwid 1.0-litre variant will begin in September this year.
The upcoming Renault Kwid 1.0-litre variant will be powered by a new 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine which is expected to generate about 67bhp of power. For now, it will come mated to a five-speed manual transmission, while AMT option might be offered at a later date. Post launch, the new Kwid will strongly compete against the Maruti Suzuki’s Alto K10 and the Hyundai Eon in the country.
As for features, the upcoming Kwid 1.0-litre variant is expected to be offered with features like touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, new digital instrument cluster, and an optional front passenger airbag for the top end variant. Though the official pricing is not known for now, we expect it to be priced around the Alto K10 price range. More details will be known in the coming days.
