- Land Rover now offers the entire Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) range in India
- Range Rover will be available in both SWB and LWB forms
- The SVs will be powered by the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engines
Bookings for the new Range Rover Sport SVR and the Range Rover SV Autobiography have begun in the Indian car market. With the 2018 models of the Range Rovers set to debut on 28 June which is later this month, the Special Vehicle Operation (SVO) models open up the entire Range Rover portfolio for the Indian customers.
While the Range Rover Sport comes with a standard wheel-base, the bigger Rangie will be offered in both the standard as well as the long-wheelbase forms. The Range Rover Sport has seven seats while the Range Rover will be offered with the executive-style four-seat layout akin to the airplane-like business-class seating.
SVO takes luxury and performance to the next level and the Range Rover will get power-close rear doors, a concealed refrigerator, Pixel-Laser LED headlights with Signature DRLs and a Meridian Signature sound system as standard. Also, additional graphics will set the SVO Range Rovers apart from the regular breed. The interior is customisable with choice of leather, wooden inlays and other materials and it also offers massaging seats in the Range Rover SV.
Under the hood of both the Range Rovers will be the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol engine, Jaguar-Land Rover’s flagship engine. In the Range Rover Sport, it develops 567bhp of power and in the bigger Rangie, it develops 558bhp. Mated to an eight-speed automatic, the engines send power to all four wheels through the legendary Land Rover all-wheel drive system on to the 21-inch wheels.
