The new Volkswagen Beetle is now open for ordering with delivering beginning in Europe by spring 2012. At the launch, 105bhp 1.2TSI engine that will come mated to a 7-speed DSG transmission and a 160bhp 1.4TSI with a 6-speed manual gearbox will be available.Three other engines – a 105bhp 1.6TDI BlueMotion Technology, 140bhp 2.0TDI and 200bhp 2.0TSI – will be joining the line-up later in 2012 along with the option of a six-speed manual gearbox for the 1.2 TSI model.
A wide range of optional equipment will also be available, including Keyless Access, satellite navigation systems, a panoramic sunroof and bi-xenon headlights.
