BMW has launched the Z4 facelift in India for Rs 68.90 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India). It is available in two variants and with a single engine option for the Indian market. The roadster has got mostly cosmetic changes both inside and on the outside and was unveiled for the global markets in Decmber 2012.
The BMW Z4 is available in two variants sDrive35i and sDrive35i Design Pure Traction and is being brought into the Indian market via the CBU route. It is the fourth vehicle for 2013 from the German automaker.
The facelifted BMW Z4 has got the German automaker’s new signature front grille, LED headlamps as well as a sportier design for the bumper as compared to the outgoing car. The car also gets sharper lines on the side as well as new design for the alloy wheels.
In terms of interiors, the 2014 BMW Z4 remains pretty much the same as the outgoing car but now there are gloss surrounds for the central AC vents and an optional folding central display for the iDrive system. New interior trims include an anthracite wood finish and what the company calls ‘Kansas’ leather trim, all part of the German Automaker’s Hyper Orange package.
The engine is the 3.0-litre straight-six petrol mill that produces 306bhp and 400Nm of torque. It has been mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels. This is the same engine that powered the outgoing roadster.
