The 2019 BMW X7 was recently spotted testing in India. This time around, the German luxury car manufacturer has listed the X7 on its India website, thereby indicating on its possible launch sometime soon. The flagship SUV sits a slot above the X5 in the BMW’s lineup of the SUVs. The vehicle was last seen at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2018 and will be offered with a new set of feature and cosmetic upgrades.
The new BMW X7 is expected to be offered in six and seven-seat options with captain seat in the middle row or a bench seat layout pattern. Although interior details are not revealed, for now, we believe that it will be on par with the 7 Series. The SUV is likely to get two 12-inch touchscreens with advanced gesture control functions, a redesigned centre console which incorporates Swarovski crystal elements, and a panoramic sunroof.
The 2019 BMW X7 will be offered in petrol and diesel engine options. It is believed that initially, the X7 will be offered with a 3.0-litre diesel engine that generates 390bhp and 760Nm of torque. The petrol version is likely to be the 3.0-litre inline six petrol that generates 330bhp and 450Nm of torque. The 4.4-litre V8 petrol is likely to be introduced at a later date. All the engine options will be equipped with BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system and an eight-speed automatic transmission. More details about the SUV will be known in the days to come.
