- BMW X5 petrol to be available in a single variant

BMW has launched the petrol variant of the X5 in India in a single variant, known as the xDrive40i M-Sport trim. The petrol powered model has been launched with a price tag of Rs 82.40 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The fourth generation BMW X5 petrol is powered by a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder unit that is capable of producing 335bhp between 5,500-6,500 rpm and 450 Nm of torque between 1,500-5,200 rpm. This engine is paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters as standard. Speeds of 0-100 kmph can be attained in just 5.5 seconds.
Based on the company’s CLAR architecture platform, the new BMW X5 petrol features Laser LED headlamps, LED taillights, LED fog lights, panoramic sunroof and 20-inch M-specific alloy wheels. Safety features on the model include six airbags, ABS with Brake Assist (BA), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), electric parking brake with auto hold function, Hill Descent Control (HDC) and run-flat tyres.
Inside, the BMW X5 petrol trim comes equipped with 12.3-inch live cockpit display, cruise control, three drive modes (Eco Pro, Comfort and Sport), automatic air-conditioning with four-zone climate control, M-specific leather wrapped steering wheel, electrically adjustable front seats, memory function for driver seat, gesture control, Heads-up Display (HUD) and an electrically operated tailgate.
