BMW X1 launched in India at Rs 29.9 lakh

BMW India has launched the new X1 for the Indian market at Rs 29.9 lakh (ex-showroom New-Delhi). The SUV was launched at the ongoing Indian Auto Expo in the presence of Sachin Tendulkar.

The BMW X1 ranges from Rs 29.9 lakh to Rs 39.9 lakh for the top-of-the-line variant and is offered in three trims - regular, sport and luxury. This is the updated version of the X1 that looks quite aggressive than its outgoing model. It borrows styling cues from the X3 and now should also appeal to people looking for good looking entry-level SUV.

The BMW X1 is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel mill that churns out 190bhp of power and 400Nm of torque. This unit comes mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. 

The X1 is ready for orders from all BMW dealerships from today, but the deliveries of the vehicle will start only from April 2016.
